The Latvian Contribution to the Origin of Denims

Although service provider Levi Strauss is especially credited for the invention of denims, little would have occurred on this space if not for Latvian-born tailor Jacob Davis. In 1871 in Reno, Nevada, Davis discovered denim to be the proper cloth for workhorse pants.
